Hilton Honors has announced the details of its next global promotion called Double Up & Explore. This begins as soon as the current Double Your Stay promotion ends on 31 December 2022.
From 1 January to 30 April 2023, registered members will earn 2X points on all stays, plus 1,000 bonus points for each stay with a different Hilton brand.

Under the Double Up & Explore promotion, registered Hilton Honors members will earn:
- 2X points on all stays (no minimum duration)
- 1,000 bonus points for each stay with a different brand within the Hilton portfolio
This is valid for stays between 1 January to 30 April 2023. Registered members checking in before 1 January 2023 will receive bonus points if their stay is completed on or after 1 January 2023, and prior to 30 April 2023.
Do note the following:
- Registration is required, and must be done prior to starting your first eligible stay (it’s fine if you booked your stays prior to registration)
- There is no cap on the maximum bonus points you can earn
- Bonus points will also be granted to award stays (you’ll earn nothing on the stay, but can earn on F&B and incidentals charged to the room, plus the flat bonus)
- All bonus points will post within 6-8 weeks
With 2X points, members can expect to earn anywhere from 20 to 30 points per US$1, depending on their tier.

1 Hilton point is worth about 0.5 US cents, so you’re looking at a rebate of 10% to 15%.

For perspective, Hilton’s current Double Your Stay promotion offers registered Hilton Honors members:
- 2X points on all stays (no minimum duration)
- 2,000 bonus points for stays with check-outs on Monday to Friday
I’d say the upcoming promotion is slightly weaker than the current one, since they’ve cut the fixed point bonus from 2,000 points to 1,000 points, while also making it harder to achieve (if you ask me, it’s harder to find a different Hilton brand to stay at than check-out on a weekday).
Frankly speaking, US$5 (my value of 1,000 points) isn’t a big enough inducement to hop around looking for more Hilton brands.
Conclusion
Registration is now open for Hilton’s Q1 2023 promotion, which offers double points and 1,000 bonus points for each new brand explored.
This may not be as good as the current promotion, but if nothing else, I appreciate that Hilton runs its offers back to back without gaps in between.
